Mouse and keyboards for problems with hand tremors

Hi everyone!

I was diagnosed about a year ago, and so far when I get flare ups I get hand tremors and general weakness in my hands and arms. I’m a graphic designer so this is becoming increasingly frustrating when I’m trying to work. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good mouse to use, or settings to change that can help with my tremor when trying to use my mouse. I usually end up clicking the wrong thing or overshooting where I meant to point at.
I would have tried using SteadyMouse as it sounded perfect but I use a mac. Would a more ergonomic mouse work? Or is it worth trying a trackball mouse?

If anyone has any other tips for the keyboard or any other suggestions when using a computer I’d really appreciate it.

That’s really tough to deal with, when MS targets the bits of a person that he/she earns a living with. It happened to me as well, so I really feel for you. I hope that you find some tech that helps.

Trackball would be a definite improvement - a former colleague had one years ago, because of tremors. If you’re not already using them, gel pads to support your wrists can anchor you better for more control not only of mouse/ball but keyboard as well.
