After having a motability car for three years and being invited to look for new car i chose to ask motability if i could keep the car i currently have,my reason for this is that if i get called for a pip assesment and am told that i no longer qualify for a car i may be in a position to offer to buy the car as it is already adapted with hand controls ( i have ppms and can only drive a car with hand controls) so my car is now four and a half years old and come novemberi have to change it but remain fearful that if i get a new car it would be more of a problem affording to buy it if my mobility component is withdrawn.
Give the people at Motability a call, they have been excellent with me whilst i was going through the DLA to PIP conversion and fully understand the issue.
