Hi everyone,
I have RRMS, i am due to have a head mri soon. Does anyone know, if someone is allowed in the mri room with you ? As i really do not like mri’s. Or is there a alternative to a mri, to moniter ms ?
Thanks in advance, for any advice x

Hi, no, they dont let anyone n the MRI room with you…BUT you do wear headphones and they will talk to you to reassure you.
I know MRIs are noisy, claustrophobic but it really is the best way to discover what’s going on.
You can get a sedative to relax you from your GP.

In the US, we’re also given panic buttons, just in case. I do NOT recommend using them, though, because of course that ends the test and then you just have to do it all again another time.
Like Bouds suggested, if you’re that nervous, ask your doctor in advance for a calming drug. There are no other tests at the present time.
