Hey everyone
Not sure if anyone else has experienced any leg pain but since this has all happened I’ve noticed I’m more prone to leg pain. I’m not talking about the banding sensation because I get that too which feels different. This is more like a terrible burning ache usually in the lower part of my leg and can sometimes be down the ankle. It’s worse on days I’ve been on my feet more I think and on a day it flares I know unless I take a painkiller before bed I’m not going to fall asleep as I’ll be in excrutiating pain. I’m able to manage when I’m busy doing things mostly with it but at night when you’re lying down it’s much harder to ignore.
I had the odd growing leg pain as a child but nothing like this. Sometimes it’s so bad its agony to walk.
Am I making sense? Does anyone get this strange thing?

I get all sorts of leg pains - from sunburn feelings, shooting electricity type pains, cramp and a dull ache like I’ve done too much walking in high heels (and I never wear heels now!). I would imagine its a fairly common symptom, but I find that pain killers don’t really help and I just fidget all night. I hope it feels better soon x
I get it too Reemz it’s bad in my hips as well but I think it’s because I walk awkwardly because my legs are so stiff. Xx
Oh yeah, leg pain central, but it’s not constant. One day I’ll be ok then get two days of pain - every kind of pain. It just picks one and goes with that. At the moment I’m feeling similar sorts of pain in my bladder which always seems worse when I lie down in bed so I’ve been taking a painkiller before bed too. If anything it knocks me right out too so at least that’s handy! X
Hi Reemz Yes lots of different types of keg pains and sensations. Today some sunburn at the top front part of thighs, at the back cold numbness and tingles (like sat on a cold brick wall) Legs so heavy and weak…feels like dragging two toddlers around each ankle. Don’t know what growing pains feel like I’m a shrt ar@e! Hope you find relief soon Ppx
I get burning pain in my thighs and is always worse when I am tired…also get band pain tingling buzzing deep bone ache…it goes on…
Thank you everyone. The last two days haven’t been too bad though the damn cough keeps waking me and my pins and needles in my fingers in my feet and fingers have resurfaced again but hey ho. Going to be fun trying to mend my partners trousers with kmy pinging butter fingers!

I get horrible pains in my legs, mostly at night, but I do take painkillers before bed just to get some sleep.
I can only describe the pain as a bit like cramp but it burns inside my calf muscles too. I have also started to get leg jerks which wake me up at night. Both legs feel heavy too.

Would you mind describing the leg banding pains a bit more? I get these but never thought they are linked to MS. Is this a symptom confirmed as an MS thing?

The banding I’ve had on arms and legs. My first one was round my wrist and it was like a cuff of burning squashing pain (like someone was gripping my wrist). Pain meds didn’t really touch it. I’ve since had similar episodes round my leg and it’s like a tight gripping pain encircing my leg and it feels really tight.
I know quiet a few of the others here have complained of similar banding sensations. I think the consensus is it’s kind of like the MS hug but people get the same sort of sensation round a limb.

I’ve had leg pains for over sixteen years, the pain is now bearable and moderately controlled but can flare up during a relapse of other symtpoms.
The burning sensation with pain is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Banding pain on the legs is nothing “in my opinion” compared to the burning pain but everyone is different and some may find the banding pain or any type of leg pain unbearable.

Leg and arm pain for me. In fact that was the first symptom I had. GP initially thought fibromyalgia.
Dr gave me amitriptyline (20mg for nerve pain) as OTC pain meds didn’t touch it and it is constant and drives me nuts.
Have recently had to come off the ami while they investigate some other stuff and I’ve really noticed the pains coming back with a vengeance!

I dread going to bed (even though i love my bed) cos i know that as soon as it it hits about 9pm im going to feel like im on fire again !
My legs get such bad shooting pains in them ,and they often feel like there not part of my body ,if that makes sense .

Thank you everyone for replying. It’s so reassuring to know you’re not the only one having strange unexplainabe symptoms specially as other people just don’tunderstand they can’t see the problem.

Hi, I have MS and have just googled the burning pain I am getting in my wrists and ankles and came across your post! Over the past week I have been struggling to stand because of pain in my ankles and my wrists burning so much last night that I had to call a neighbour in to help me! Doc was going to give me oramorph but then spoke to MS nurse who said to try trauma doll first, which is kind of keeping pain bearable. I also take prevailing, baclofen and amitriptilyne. Have your burning pains subsided?
I am also leg pain patient but not like you. Didn’t you consult with doctors?
