My problems have always been pain in the legs and walking difficulties but over the past 4 weeks it has got a whole lot worse. A number of circumstances have led to it getting worse. I had the cold, then a new kitchen installed which stressed me out, was worried about how my cat would react to all the disruption (I shouldn’t have worried cos he hid the whole time)! I have been doing as little as possible to try and rest but I’m getting no better.
One nurse I spoke to said it could take up to 4 weeks to get back to the way I was. I really hope not. Has anyone had a similar experience? Could it be a bit of a relapse? I can’t go out alone and I’m missing out on things. My husband is a pillar of strength
Hi Helen sounds like your husband is great. I’m new to this so don’t understand it at all but colds and stress so se to make things worse. Whatever the cause hope things improve soon x
Any stress will cause symptoms to elevate. Sounds like you have had a lot of stress over the past couple of months so I am sure you not feeling to good is because of that.
When things have settled I am sure you will pick up. Noone can say how long it will take. Hopefully not too long.
H i helen try to keep positive about your mobilty and pain and if you need to use a stick ,frame or wheelchair try and see them as a short term help and dont get too hung up about it , sounds easy but i know how long it has taken me to except the fact that i need these things so i can get about and do stuff .everyone says exercise is good for us to keep things moving and swimming for me is lovely you feel like you could run a marathon in the water just dont do too much or you will sleep for a week. All the best with everything katy
