Last radiotherapy today!

Hi gang, can’t think how I’ve managed it but I have my 15th and last session of radiotherapy today. PHEW!!!

Luckily I had savings so I’ve had a carer with me every day, taken taxis there and back and had a cleaner come in while I was out so had nothing to do when I got home.

But even with all that it’s been exhausting. BUT I’ve done it!!!

I will celebrate when I get home by going straight to bed and watching Netflix. Oh hang on a minute…that’s what I’ve been doing every day. He ho…

Love to all,

Pat xx (And the radiotherapy team have been fantastic. I love our NHS).

You sound in good spirit and that’s always so lovely to hear. Glad it’s over but hoping you’re coping with the heat ok as that’s just another curve ball

If you have netflix then you’ll be entertained at least. I still have at least a months viewing on my list at any given time.

Take care and get some good relaxation time

Well done Pat, you should give yourself a ‘pat on the back’ (sorry about the pun) and treat yourself to whatever takes your fancy, you deserve it.

Have a rest now and enjoy Netflix.

Hey Pat you are one gutsy lady. So glad it’s finished and just treat, treat yourself as you really deserve it. Chocolate, wine, Netflix anything you fancy.

Yay! Well done!

Hope the heat didn’t make the journey and treatment too unbearable. Done now, anyway

Well done Pat, you’ve been amazing, such strength of mind to get through fifteen trips out, let alone Radio Therapy as well!

We are all so proud of you.

Take care and rest as much as possible,

Hi Pa, t you are doing so well bless you, l find out what drs are going to do next on Thursday. The heat here is to hot for me legs feet very puffed up good thing is the white socks are off been 3 weeks now, hubby has finished painting the kitchen he only had to put one roll on as the rest tiles but took two days, Be nice to get back to normal as well as we can. l did sit out in garden for a bit but lost my sun hat when we went shopping it fell out of the back of my wheelchair we think not got another only woolly ones not too get the sun on my opp bit. hair has fallen out at one side will have to see if l can find a scarf.

Does anyone no of a net bag like the one we had for the children buggy that wood fit a wheelchair and wood fold up with it,

Well a long cold juice is ready for me take care all regards Jan xx

Hi Jan, there are lots of net bags on Amazon…thought this one might work with wheelchair:

Sorry you lost your hat! Hope you find a nice one, or yes a scarf would be cooler!

I’m doing ok thanks. Back to consultant tomorrow and will have to have bone density test before I can start the drugs, because they thin the bones.

I went out on my new scooter! I was a bit worried because my old one kept stopping and it knocked my confidence, so the lady who cleans for me came with me and it was great. Much smoother than old one. Handled kerbs better. So I’m very pleased.

Glad your kitchen is nearly finished and you can get back to normal.

Thinking of you Jan. We are both cancer AND MS warriors!!!

Lots of love,

Pat xx
