Good morning. I have been on extavia since April this year and it has been an ok experience until recently. Every morning after an injection the night before, I am experiencing what I can only think of is kidney related pain. It’s so severe that this morning I am actually having a few tears. I recently had an appointment with the ms nurse who said that my bloods showed everything was good apart from white blood cell count down a little. This was results from 3 months before right enough. It feels like kidneys are cramping and I feel something like burning up and down both sides. I will contact my nurse today, I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this.
hi honey
i used to get that feeling if i had a urine infection.
so not your situation at all.
have you told your gp?
they tend to look at it as they would for anyone else - not neccessarily ms related.
if nothing else your gp could contact your ms nurse.

Hi, I’m sure this isn’t related but I had bad kidney pain earlier in the year. I don’t have any injections or anything like that. The GP and nurse specialist both suggested that it was related to possible constipation (which I didn’t feel at the time) but caused from the pain killers slowing everything down. They said to take some things to alleviate that just in case it was that, then go back if the kidney pain continued. She even showed me a diagram of how everything gets squashed up. Worth thinking about maybe?
Thank you for both your comments. Yeah, I should just go to my go, it takes so long to get an appointment that it puts me off which is silly I know. 3 weeks to a month is the average I get. Yet, I should just make one. I think I was scared in case it was connected and had to stop the injections.
