A quick look on Amazon shows you can get a 21.5 inch monitor for £80 with a few others for about £100. Not too bad (I know everything is relative of course) and if you are self employed it would be tax deductable of course.

I am not at home to Mr Apple in this house
I don’t think monitors are dependant on the type of operating system, so they should work happily on either Windows PCs or Macs.
