New diagnosis and before diagnosis

Hi sorry if this sounds silly but i currently am under going a diagnoses and the drs have said things point so far to ms my worry is I dont have life insurance and I do have 2 little children to think of. I’m just wondering if anyone has got insured during diagnoses or if I have to wait to know for definite before I can attempt at getting life insurance? Sorry for all the questions im just thinking about everything a lot more and kicking myself for not getting this sorted earlier. Thanks in advance for any responses. Hayley.

Hi . I have just been told I have ms . I now have to wait for a lumber puncture and another MRI. I am petrified as have nobody to talk to as they dont understand . Life insurance popped up in my head aswell . I would 100% reccomend it once you find out what London it is . Hugs to you xx

Hi there Haylzz2109 & Rdiack,

I think you’re both thinking of Critical Illness Insurance rather then life Insurance.

If you don’t already have the Critical cover then I’d guess you’re too late now, but take advice from a Broker, you never know. As for Life Insurance, well I think you can still get that.

Also, if you travel overseas you’ll find Health Insurance a bit more expensive with a diagnosis of MS… actually, more than a bit more, I’m afraid.

Thank you for your reply, sorry to hear you are going through something similar. I’m not diagnosed myself but I am here to talk if that’s any help for you! Im awaiting results from my second mri this time with contrast dye so will be interesting to find out what’s shown. Take care xx

Hi Ben ah right yes I might of been getting the 2 confused. Thank you for the information though kicking myself for not taking it out when I had the chance now! I will definitely look into life insurance once I have a diagnoses any recommendations for ones that give life insurance if I do have m s ? Thanks again xx
