Injury healing

Hello everyone,

A few weeks ago I have severely twisted my ankle on an uneven pavement. It took a while to heal and even now I still feel pain there. I also have the feeling that the ankle is weaker. This is located on the left side of my body - the side most affected with MS symptoms (mostly in fingers/arm and shoulder).

Does MS interfere in the healing process of the body and could those pains be there long term?

Thanks so much for reading!

Get a physio to check you out and suggest some strengthening exercises.

I agree with Whammel, physiotherapy is what you need.

I used to see one at the MS Therapy Centre back in the days before corona virus shut it down.

if your GP refers you to one, it will probably be a telephone consultation and an exercise plan on paper.

that is what i had for my fractured pelvis.

actually my MS behaved itself impeccably because i was in so much pain from the fracture!

good luck and heal well.

What injury have not I had over the years? Posterior tibial tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, piriformis syndrome, broken big toe requiring surgery, and two stress fractures (to be fair, those were in the 90’s). I just don’t see injuries as a big deal.
