Informal meets

When I last spoke to my ms nurse, which was just before Christmas, she told me about a local drop-in centre, which to be honest I never knew about even though it’s not far away,

I am really looking forward to get to it, I’m sure it will be a’ medicine and tonic’ to all that’s gone on this past six months in my life that has effected me and other folk that were around me at the time. It made me realise though how important informal meet ups for coffee or lunch can be, I used to go to them regularly in the past both in Edinburgh and Glasgow. To be honest about it I had taken them for granted without thinking about just how important they can be. I know there are official MS branch monthly meetings which we are all greatful for but in between those, what a great thing it is just to be able to arrange with a friend or friends an informal lunch or coffee meet. It’s something that gives people the opertunity to just get together for a chat or spend the day or part of the day just enjoying something. I know it’ll be and is happening now and has been in the past too but as we are coming up to the start of a new year, there is nothing wrong with thinking anew about these things, because anything that may be a help in letting us give this damn MS a kick up the back side is a good thing.

Just a thought but it’s something else that can make tomorrow a better day for us.

David ----mrsJ. Yes Mrs J that’s right , I want to start going to the Therapy centre, the one my ms nurse told me about is in Bridge of Allan .That’s about 8 miles from me but I know there are others too, maybe going to different ones too might be good.
