Hi to everyone on here, my first post, on a bit of an emotional roller coaster at the moment as I am not sure what is going on with me. Explanantion imminent Lots of tingling going on in my neck, back and arm, along with some burning sensation, that pretty much there all the time, it started originally April last year, sort of disappeared for a bit, but came back this year. I had MRI and nerve conduction study last year but nothing unusual, so go away, take some amatriptaline. Did not take the drugs, as not big fan of them. Burning etc came back this year, very slight loss of feeling in little finger, but that’s gone, wanting to pee all the time, came and went, lasted a few weeks, Dr said it was one of those ghost type signs, as I had read the symptoms and my brain was tricking me into thinking I had it I had the electric shock type feeling in the back of my neck when I was doing press ups in the gym, it happened a few times with no pattern, has stopped for while now, bit of eye pain in the form of a sudden sharp feeling which goes as quickly as It came… Been an avid reader of this forum and various other sites looking at all symptoms etc, convincing myself this is what I have, and I’m pretty convincing. It feels like I am waiting for something big to happen, like some of you guys and girls are dealing with right now Worried for family, kids, job should all this be proved right, not been to quack again yet this year, as I literally had to hold him to random to get me an MRI last year. Any pearls of wisdom, advice, unwanted lottery wins would be of great help
Hi Tiger and welcome to the site
I couldn’t be sure from your post whether these are symptoms which you are continuing to have or not. If you are, then maybe another trip to the docs is needed. Having said that, if you’re still getting the burning pain, it’d be beneficial to try the amitryptiline that your GP has already prescribed. I know you said you’re not a big fan of drugs, few of us are but they can help.
Potentially there could be hundreds of ‘possible’ causes, the only way of finding out which it is, is by way of medical tests. It doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s anything serious, it could just as easily be something that’s simple to treat. Although I understand your reasons ‘why’ -surfing the internet looking for answers isn’t really going to help. Quite often this just causes even more stress and worry which you can do without.
Anything which we can’t easily explain away is a worry, so if your symptoms persist then go back to your GP and take things from there.
Good luck
Debbie xx
Thankyou, symptoms are continuing, tingling has neve gone away, I know I am avoiding the inevitable of going back to docs, thanks for the voice of reason
