As the title suggests and some of you are aware I joined my local housing group a few months ago and have just called them to find out the status of my application for the flats I bid on last week.
I was told that I am gonna be offered a bungalow with wet room. It’s in an area where | have relatives and was really hoping to move too, woohoo.
I just have to wait now for a call to arrange a viewing as apparently its ready to be moved into.

I just had acall from the housing people a few mins after posting this message and arrranged a viewing of the prorety for tomorrow woohoo. And also just had another moan from my mum referring to me as a child and using my brother to back her up.
I think I may end up just taking the bungalow mainy to get away from her

No, think positive and think this is the next chapter to my life, an independent person about to get my own place and I’m going to make it my home, I can invite who I want and do what I like and I don’t have to put up with anything I don’t want to! …you go for it!

Thanks Sue and others yes I am looking forward to gaining some independence, not getting moaned at ever day and being able to do things how I want them done
I will be able to get help from a social worker which I cant get until I am by myself, I wont have to struggle with stairs and steps anymore and I can get a pet

Raggamuffin, it’s the best move you will ever make believe me, it will be your home and you will make it how you want, you will be able to escape from people who make your life a misery and welcome people who you want to be part of your life, doesnt matter if you havent got furniture or fancy curtains at the window, you will love the independence and you will have the satisfaction of thinking ‘yes, this is mine, all mine!’ All the fancy stuff will come later, just get your own space…you deserve it!
