Hi everyone Just a quick question for those lucky enough to be using an I.pad (Version 1 in my case). Do you have the tools to select text, emoticons etc when you are posting either a new post or replying? I don’t and wonder if it’s just me? Bonnie xxx

Ooh, I’ll have to check it later Bonnie (I’m on the laptop at the moment, and honestly can’t remember what it looks like on the iPad).
I’ve noticed a couple of things that don’t work quite right on the iPad. For example, yesterday it said I had a PM that was supposedly from “.” (No other name given)
I thought it was either from a very shy person who set up their username as “.”, or possibly from someone with something to hide, who was sending me a nasty or abusive mail.
Turned out to be nothing odd or sinister, but from a regular correspondent. No idea why the name didn’t show up.
Am on the iPad now, and haven’t seen it on the laptop, so nothing to compare it with, but seems to work fine. I cant’t see any option to change text or add emoticons though, so maybe not available in the iPad version. It’s a lot better than the old one though, which I couldn’t get to work on here at all.

Im on an android tablet, so obviously not the actual ipod, dont know how different they are. But i have emoticons and can change text!
There is a small arrow on the top right of this box i am typing in which turns these features on and off. maybe you have it too??

Well, in a way you’ve answered my question if the options aren’t showing on yours either. Seems they show on other android tablets though.

Now thats just showing off ! I’m on my laptop at present but i’ll go have a look if i have an arrow ! Hope so because its so much easier on the i.pad.

I am on iPad and have not been able to st up avatar or emoticons but I still learning so hope to get better on it
Oh, shame… Will fire up the old laptop and have a look, but still much prefer using the iPad as so quick and easy to use. Will just have to make my own emoticons …

As far as I can see these features are not available on the i.pad. I’ll check it out with the web team.
I agree totally about the i.pad. Mine has been an absolute lifeline for me. I love it!
