I have has a stressful month. I have to constantly remind myself to stay in the present and just be here. Today I spent sometime meditating and doing some breath work in my yard. It was grounding. Just wondering what you all do to keep stress at bay?
Easy to say: stop wallowing in it!
Harder to do but, absolutely, consciously, focus on today, what you’re going to do today, next week, month, year etc. Only allow yourself a look back on condition that it is to celebrate past achievements. That was then, this is now.
My wife had a fall at work on Monday and is home with a badly bruised elbow. She’s in a sling and basically one-armed until it heals. Strangely enough, it has brought us closer together, as she is asking me for help rather than the other way round. Only a temporary status, I realise, but I’ll take the positives from it.
And that’s the point. There may not be many, but look for the positives wherever you can find them.
