Hoping you can help?

Hi All, my posture and form has always been good - however my upper body has been slowly dropping to the left, for example my tummy button used to be centre, now as I look down my stomach has moved so much to the left by bellybutton is halfway over my left leg side- my face is fine- dont have or had any stroke symptoms- anyone heard of this happening or had it themselves? TIA Charlotte

Hi, back in 2000,physios told me I had a slight twist on my spine leaning to the left.

But nothing was ever done about it…despite me mentioning it at many neuro appointments.

All these years later, it causes daily problems with me leaning leftwards in my wheelchair, showerchair etc.

I use a wedge and cushions, bit still does it.

Get a physio to check out your gait and suggest some muscle strengthening exercises to help.

Thank You JP so do I

Thank you for replying, Im having to use everything I can to make me sit straight including wedges but to no avail

Sadly I cant walk and am chair bound - equally the NHS physio refuse to see me because they advised - short staffed! It’s a complete joke - looks like im going to have to contact the media- tried PALS previously and was a complete waste of my time.

Sorry to hear you have been so badly let down and deserve much better. I hope you get the help you obviously need.

The MS Trust has some sitting exercises that might be manageable.
