Hip or knee replacement and effect on m.s

Hi Linda I have PPMS diagnosed 6 1/2 years ago. I had a full knee replacement just over 2 years ago following an injury to my ‘good’ knee. Before the injury I was walking with just one stick and making use of a wheelchair occasionally. During the year waiting for the replacement, I had to use a walking frame at home and the wheelchair outside and had to take strong painkillers daily. I had no ill effects from the operation itself. However the rehabilitation has been hard. I couldn’t do the walking or some of the exercises. My saving grace has been my local gym where they have seated resistance machines. I have been able to get the strength back in my good leg which has helped enormously. I will never be as mobile as I was but I have got the strength back in my good leg and I have no pain so I am very happy with the outcome and have no regrets about having the operation. Please feel free to PM me if you have any further questions.
