High Cholesterol and MS

Hi, I haven’t been diagnosed with MS(yet) but I’d like to know if high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia) is a sign of MS?
My MRI of brain and cervical came back clear but I have(have had) all the symptoms of MS.
Is it possible that high cholesterol + symptoms makes it more likely?

hi, i’ve had ppms and high cholesterol for 25 yrs and never heard of this.

my lesions …just 2…were unseen for 22 yrs

Hi PBMS, how were you diagnosed if the lesions were missed, and did you intially have RRMS before progressing to PPMS?

I read somewhere that high cholesterol may be an indicator of more severe/progressive ms(especially if you have high cholesterol as a young healthy adult.28 male)

Hi, i didnt get my diagnosis properly for 22 years. I presented clinically with very PPMS like symptoms ie foot drop, spasms, stiffness, bowel and bladder issues.

No I didnt have RRMS first. PPMS starts and remains as PPMS…always.

RRMS can change to SPMS.
