Here's Jonny - did anyone see it last night?

I watched Here’s Jonny last night on Sky Arts about a guy explaining his fight with MS over a seven year period. It was around the area I used to live so had additional interest BUT as a person who is not diagnosed and open minded on this, the documentary left me shocked and sad. I wondered if anyone else saw it?

I didn’t know it was on last night, but I’ve seen it before. The most poignant thing for me is when he finally asks for DMDs and is told it is too late. Heartbreaking, but his stubborn refusal to take the meds that could help him and instead try all those ludicrous “cures” made me so angry with him too!

The other thing that I want to see, but still haven’t despite a friend lending me her video of it(!) is Go Now, with Robert Carlyle. I really MUST get our old VCR wired up again so I can watch it!

Btw, something to remember when watching anything about MS (even a documentary): we are all different.

Hi Karen, I agree. Watching him take all those “cures” really upset me, especially the ones for horses!!! I am going to google the other one you mentioned or see if I can find it on YouTube. Thanks for your reassuring comment. I know before on another post you said that you didn’t think I had MS but my GP is so sure that it is, she just speaks to me as if I have it. Next Neuro Appointment early December so lets see what she has to say. Xxx

Here’s Jonny is on Sky Arts 1 on Saturday 17 at 9 pm, if anyone missed it and wanted to see it. I missed it, saw your message and now have it ready on record, thanks.

Karen - you hit the nail on the head there. The key thing to remember is that MS is different for everyone. I must admit though, I won’t be watching this, I find it too upsetting watching stuff like this as it just makes me worry!

Maybe I’m in a “denial” stage, I just can’t bear watching any thing about any health conditions or disabilities at all at the moment, I’m burying my head in the sand!
