Hi
I havent used this forum for quite a while but thought I would come on so I can get some answers.
I have relapse and remitting and I havent felt well for ages. Don’t know if its related to my ms or something else but could anyone help.
I have been having weird sensations in my head like tingling, pins and needles, and sometimes I get these sensations all over.
Its been making me dizzy and i keep losing my balance and keeps me awake most nights. I am also having problems with my ears, they feel really conjested and theres like a high pitched noise I can hear! I haven’t been able to work for 3 weeks.
Its been really getting me down, been to doctors a few times and hes unsure whether its my ms as well. Has anyone else had these symptoms
Please can anyone help
Tina xx
It could be the MS but it could also be a sinus infection. Your GP will be able to give you medication for the dizziness and you should contact the MS Nurse, if you have one, in case it is a relapse.

I’m inclined to agree with Liz. I’m just recovering from a horrible sinus infection and experienced much of what you describe. I felt SO ill! Eventually went to Doctor and got antibiotics. It took a while for them to kick in and though I’m heaps better, I still feel I have a way to go. I also fell twice whilst I was like this. Although it’s horrible, I do hope this is the cause of your problems because at least they can be sorted. Good luck!

Hi Tina,
I did reply to this before but it didn’t appear. I think that you may have Tinnitus, ther ringing in your ear. This can be caused by something that you take; for me that is St John’s Wort and vit B12, both of these make it worse. I take SJW for depression, I came off it and the Tinnitus became worse, as I became depressed so I was so much more aware of it. When I went back on SJW, the tinnitus became more bearable. I think most people with MS have Tinnitus.
The other could be Vertigo, most people with MS get this. I do during some relapses and then it goes afterwards, so hopefully this will go with time.
If it is to do with sinusitis, I would cut out milk. I had serious problems with sinusitis four years ago, I cut out milk and used soya milk instead and I haven’t a problem with it since.
Good luck with it.

Hi again, like Adrian I have tinnitus too and I too avoid dairy in my diet which is definitely wise if it is sinusitis. Anything mucus forming is a no no.
I do hope you feel better x
