Hello and I would like your thoughts

I am worried in case I have Ms .
I have very sore hands and a sore ankle where I can’t lift my toes in one foot except the big toe . When I go to bed I get a pressure in my chest and back as if I want to belch all night . It’s uncomfortable and occasionally I feel it during the day . Sometimes it’s sore to breathe in . I am 57 and my Drs dismiss the back pain after clear X-ray . Seeing podiatrist for foot and occ therapist for hands . Sometimes my hand gets intermittent sharp stabbing pains that last for a few seconds . Really concerned .

Could be MS, yes. Or something else. You should be demanding a referral from your GP to a neurologist to move things forward, so don’t take No for an answer. In fact, if they refuse a test or procedure and it later turns out to have been key, you could have grounds for negligence. Doctors live in fear of negligence claims so even the most veiled of suggestions can get them covering their arses and putting people forward for tests.

Thank you . It’s just finding the right words without seeming to be jumping to conclusions . I mean why can’t the professionals piece it together ?

MS is just one condition among maybe millions that a GP needs to be aware of, in every facet of human medicine. Many GP’s lack the experience or exposure to MS, so may be vague and indecisive with you, maybe just to save face. Perhaps ask for a second opinion - maybe there’s another GP in the practice who has more experience with neurological conditions? Professional pride many prevent some Doctors from admitting they are not fully au fait with it - give them the chance to let themselves off the hook?
