i’m almost always happy (yea sickening) but right now i’m happy because my billy is playing his guitar.

he plays by ear and is always doing a new tune.

danny boy is my favourite.

today he played abide with me (must have been at a sports event)

and all along the watchtower (hendrix version) now i know that’s an advert because it’s had me humming it for days.

now the cricket is back on so no more tunes tonight.

It’s good that something simple makes you happy. I’ve recently rediscovered my love of knitting. Making something makes me happy, especially if it’s going to be a present for someone. Reading a good book also makes me happy.

Hi Carole,

I know the joy of playing the piano by ear. I hadn’t a clue about reading music. I copied boogie woogie from records and made it my own.
