After many many year of Constipation have found something that’s natural, instead of going 7-10 days now I go twice a day every day, I add to my breakfast musli in the morning 1 teaspoon Chia seeds,1 teaspoon Flax seed oil and 1 teaspoon Ground Linseeds that’s it try it you’ve nothing to lose and it works for me. That’s Brilliant Deborah, I love the seeds I always eat loads of sunflower seeds and often buy the bread with linseeds it’s always helpful to know about the natural remedies. Figs are good too they work well for me. I have some issues with constipation and because of this im reluctant to take the iron tablets prescibed for anemia. Glad that it works for you. I’ve just discovered that having a daily raw blast with the nutribullet (thanks Pat) and a daily dose of dulcolax, I am noe becoming more regular. The nutribullet involves several seeds as well.

Hi Deborah, oh I’m always looking for cures for constipation!
I put one tablespoon of ground linseeds in my morning porridge (btw linseeds and flax seeds are the same thing… normally called linseeds in UK and flax seeds in USA… they come in either brown or golden which is possibly why you thought they are different seeds).
I find if I eat the linseeds every day they stop working so I use them every couple of days.
Chia seeds sound good. Never had them! Also I’m wondering if I should try linseed oil as well.
Are you grinding seeds yourself? It’s the best way to do it as the oil can dry out in the pre-ground ones. I use a nutribullet to grind enough for a couple of weeks and then keep in fridge. Have also successfully ground them in coffee grinder.
Constipation is a constant problem with me! I eat a healthy diet and drink lots of water and red bush tea… but really if I have a proper bowel movement it’s a reason to celebrate!!!

I find taking magnesium helps me,more than anything,that and plenty of water and if i start to not go,i then take prune juice.
