It’s been over two weeks since I was last out of the house, Heather has been unwell and to be honest I haven’t missed going out. But all good things come to an end and after a late start to the Day we loaded into the car and went for a ride. I must mention l managed to knock one of the footplates off the wheelchair before getting in too the car! We have a dropped curb I use to get onto the road and due to the camber of the road I tip the seat back a bit. As I went out of the front door I remembered that I normally do that but immediately thought I would be okay. Wrong and I saw myself stranded in the curb with a lump of wheelchair laying in the road, Heather came to the rescue and bashed the footplate back on and we set off. We had a drive around the Isle of Thanet and then sat in McDonald’s car park stuffing our faces. It was nice to get out and as soon as I was back indoors I immediately went to sleep. Hope everyone is doing fine, we have had a flurry of Christmas cards this week.
Hello Don. It’s some days since I’ve been out. It wasn’t this week but it’s some time ago. I’ve been enjoying time being busy on a blog roll and doing some cooking. The wall has finally gone for a bit. My earlier claims of getting over it were a little premature. Now the weather is a bit milder I have going out on the horizon. My Rose came round yesterday and we made mince pies. Funnily enough, I’m not drained. Maybe PPMS has moments of minor remission. I fell asleep on the sofa and woke at 3.30 thinking I would go off to bed but then I realised there was cricket on.
Anyway my next planned outing is the Barbican for a concert on 18th December before getting the train to Liverpool on 22nd. I’ll build up to it.
I rarely go out during the week unless there’s been something going on, mainly hospital or doctors appointments, as my husband is at work. It doesn’t bother me much either to be honest I said it recently, ‘getting smaller’ is my theme tune now. Having sad that, I do have the occasional proper night out, I saw Level 42 a couple of weeks ago, they were fantastic
Christmas is coming up fast now but I’m having a wobbly week with some worrying stuff going on, I shall be glad to see the back of this year as so many bad things have happened to several of my family members.
Planning on a quiet Christmas this year but looking forward to it all the same
Have a great Christmas folks. We aim to get to our daughter for a family gathering. Heathers sister hopes to get out for the Day. She is in hospital at Canterbury she came here today to have her hair done. I tease her saying she has a tag and has been allowed out on good behaviour. She has had a spinal operation and is having to learn to walk again, still I can tease her coz she can’t chase me. Am I a meanie mocking the afflicted?
Polly, I’m glad to say that missing person has been found, so a huge sense of relief there! It seems that social media, in addition to the boys in blue, actually works well sometimes
Don, this evening I cheerfully polished off my gluten free cod & chips. It was gorgeous!
Well done Don for getting out, if Iv’e not been out for a bit i lose confidence and the depression kicks in its lovely to get out an just smell the air the nights are dark early but everything looks lovely with all the lights in Frodsham.
