Feet,

Does anyone have experience of foot pain. Every time I try to walk, my feet feel like I’m wearing brand new shoes that are a size too small for me. It’s every pair of shoes, that have all been comfortable in the past. It is having a serious effect on my walking. Also my feet feel freezing cold, yet feel normal to touch. I’ve googled my ailments and have found things like dysesthesia and peripheral neuropathy. Anyone with any experience before I start to bother the ms nurse

Bring up the possibilities you have uncovered. Also discuss with them that your feet may be swelling up. As you become less mobile and less able to exercise, you may become prone to lymphoedema where fluid starts to pool in the lowest extremities because your heart becomes less able to pull the fluid back up the body again.

I know because I get it. It can also be caused by other medications such as blood pressure tablets.

Wow I actually can’t believe it I’m going through the same thing as we speak. Iam currently on my diagnosis journey and I refer to this forum for experience etc so now at least I’m not going mad and it could be yet another symptom. Mine started a couple of week back when my toes and the ball of my foot was hurting like I was walking on stones all the time and I limped alot, then it got to the point were all shoes were uncomfortable. Now the last couple of days my feet haven’t felt like they’ve been there and there ice cold but normal to touch. Will be interesting to hear what your MS nurse says if you go back to her. I’m in at the doctor’s Monday .
