Sitting here feeling really weak and low this is my second relapse in the space of the year woke up last Wednesday with numb lip which is now spread to right side of face and head every day I wake up and it seems to be getting worse and also difficulty eating as it’s like been to the dentist and anaesthetic has worn off has anybody out there had this and how long did they have it for? I feel really tired and weak as well I think this is the first relapse I have had to do with lesions on the brain trying to get to see A neurologist is a absolute joke my appointment is in March trying to see if it can be brought forward I have no contact with an MS nurse and at this present time I’m not on any medication so feeling totally fed up with the world i’m usually so active enjoy playing golf so having to sit here and not be able to go out is really doing my head in and I am also feeling very scared of what will happen next
This MS really is the pits isn’t it ? I’m ppms so don’t get the relapses like you, so can’t really offer any help. Perhaps you should go and hassle your dr a bit - in the nicest possible way of course. There is medication available to help if you need it. Take care and hope you feel better soon.
hi hyatt
phone the hospital where your neuro is based. ask if they can bring your appointment forward.
ask if you can be put through to a ms nurse while you’re at it.
it won’t last forever so chin up!!
good luck

Hi hyatt I had a relapse in November where I couldn’t use my right eye as it was the muscles weren’t working properly had steroids in hospital this was when I got diagnosed I phoned my mum on my 4th night and was like I feel funny speaking the following day I couldn’t eat a sandwich as my lips wouldn’t lift properly. I still had sensation just the muscles didn’t feel like working. They have really improved just occasionally when In tired if I open my mouth wide I have to remind my lip to continue moving up if that makes sense. I suppose I looked like if had a stroke. Not a good look Really hope you feel better soon x
