Hello. My wife has the occasional tumble in the house due to he MS mobility issues. Recently I’ve had to be away from home and I’m concerned that she may have a major tumble some time and there will be no one to respond. Has anyone had fall alarms fitted and are there good companies in the U.K.

If you google ‘fall alarms’ (usually aimed at the elderly) there will be lots of options available. The Age UK website also have some information (they have their own). Most will come with 24/7 monitoring, a pendant or bracelet alarm. Some may supply an external keysafe so that emergency services can access the property. Or if you contact your local authority (google ‘Single Point of Access’ for your area), they may also be able to make recommendations.
