Went to DFS this morning, very happy to find an excellent disabled loo plus a fully adapted shower! in a separate room, obviously the ordinary loos are fine too, spotless and well stoocked with paper and soap, plenty of hot water, all in perfect working order! nice not to have to moan. (Cannock) by the way, have to congratulate them!
But did you get “A glass of white wine for the lady”?
It’s always nice to hear about good facilities. A shower? In DFS? I can see that once in a blue moon it could be utilised but that seems to be going to extra mile. Maybe they just want you to feel at home? Or think that you can properly test out the beds if you have a shower and put on your PJs before testing!
Has anyone else found that some of the worst culprits for disabled loos are hospitals?
Sue
Yes,hospitals (some) have dreadful loos, I know there are exceptions but good ones, you really notice. Yes I was gobsmacked in DFS, didn’t expect them to have any at all! Good parking as well, which they do seem to monitor.
But did you buy a sofa?
Pollx
Cherwell Valley services on the M40. They have a propwr room with a radar key. Even the basin goes up and down.
Yes Poll, exactly the same as one we had years ago, it is ‘retro’ now, but at least we know it’s comfortable, two dogs, two cats and their claws and teeth did for that one… was fine otherwise! Having said that I don’t think we will ever find one as comfly as the one we bought in Cyprus and had to leave there (sold it on camp) probably still going strong outside the singlies block! forces furniture is so uncomfortable, not to mention ugly, utilitarian and monumental…so maybe it was just more relief than comfort! lol
Need to get a radar key! you just don’t expect it in a furniture shop, but maybe people are just so indecisive when buying furniture, they need all their home comforts!
Just cappuccino or tea, Mr Murray wasn’t there, although hubby is always told that he looks like him.
I always loved Cherwell Valley Services back when I used to drive all over the country for work. Sad isn’t it? To miss favourite services! Or is it the job I miss? Or the independence?
Sue
Sue, I reckon the independence is a first on your list.
With total independence the world would be our oyster…again…what a thought eh?
