What a fantastic sympton, eh lads??? looks for sarcasm emoticon
I’ve been taking Tadalifil (Cialis) to help me hang on to my sex life for as long as possible. But lets be honest, it doesn’t feel anything like it used to before MS.
I’m thinking about trying out the injections instead. Is there anyone out there that can give me any feedback on them? Are they feel any better than Cialis?
Injections are the best, once you get over the thought of injecting yourself.Have used them for about 6 year’s,practice make’s perfectYou’ll get trained
Dan,don’t give up.There are ‘plumbing’ and ‘wiring’ issues to’Willywon’twork’.Most of the tablets help with the plumbing, I’m guessing the injections work the same way.but the wiring is down to establishing new nerve pathways.Different sensory inputs, not forgetting visual, merit exploration. There are lots of ways to find different things to look at,but it is best as an adjunct to the usual ‘boudoir intimacy’.
If my theory is wrong I’m sure I’ll be told, but it’d be fun trying anyway.
I don’t have any problems with the thought of having to stick a needle in my chap. I self catheterise every day and that was far more daunting than injecting myself.
With MS, it makes sense that Cialis may help the mechanics but still not make sex feel like it used to. ED from nerve issues can be a different beast. Injections can work very well for some men when tablets are not enough, because they act more directly on the penis, but they are also more hands-on and need proper instruction. You really do not want to freestyle that. The feel may be better in the sense of a firmer erection, but it will not necessarily fix sensation, desire, or the MS side of things. I would ask your MS nurse, GP, or urologist for a referral to an ED clinic. Cialis is still a normal first-line option, but asking about injections is reasonable if it is not giving you enough.
