New diagnosis and before diagnosis

Hi everyone

Hope you’re all keeping well.

I was diagnosed a few weeks ago. I notified the DVLA by using the form from their website and indicated on that form that I have optic neuritis as part of the MS. They’ve sent me out another form asking for a bit more info on that which I’ll return today. The ON doesn’t affect my field of vision and I can read a number plate from the required distance etc.

Do you think they’ll send me for an assessment or just issue a licence of a shorter duration?

Don`t know about ON.

when I informed them of my PPMS I was issued a 3 year licence without an assessment. I also notified my insurance as well.
