Hi Niyra There are so many of us in the same boat and it’s such a daunting thing for us all. My advice as I’m sure many others will agree is to look/join www.benefitsandwork.co.uk there is a small fee of just under £20 a year to subscribe but I can assure you it is worth it’s weight in gold. It has nothing to do with DWP or the government. Hope this helps x

Hi

I’m in a similar position - high rate mobility & middle rate care (indefinitely) and am reliant on having the car. The stat I heard about making appeals against ATOS decisions is that something like 70 or 80% of people win their appeal if they make their appeal with the support of something like Citizens Advice Bureau.

I’m not sure when us ‘indefinites’ are due to be re-assessed, but it may be worth keeping a diary of things like having falls or incontinence accidents to use when being re-assessed. I’m going to record my interview whenever it happens too, in case they put down inaccurate information on the form - that way there’ll be an accurate record of what was said.

It’s unnerving, but I know that worrying about it is only going to make things worse - practicing meditation or yoga may be helpful to keep you stress free.

Hi

This is an information sheet done by Brighton council on the proposed changes. Gives an insight into the proposed scoring .

Not sure if it is a good or bad idea to look at now, will leave it to you!

It is worrying, but not much point in worrying just yet (easier said than done!!!)
