DLA/PIP

Hi, I hope you all are as well as possible with this ******* MS! . Any way just a question I’ve been asked & can’t find an answer online. Question is, if your on DLA/PIP & have a motability car can you keep it after your 70th birthday? Some blogs I looked at online said yes & others said you can’t have a car after your 70. I thought I’d ask on here cause you clever people seem to know lots of stuff. Thanks Helly.

This is from the Motabilty site. “You can apply to join the Motability Scheme if you are aged 65 and over and you receive one of the following allowances: Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS) Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) You must have at least 12 months remaining on your allowance when you join the Scheme. Unfortunately, the Attendance Allowance cannot be used to lease a car through the Motability Scheme.” If I'm over 65, can I still join the Motability Scheme? | Motability Scheme
