Hi, just wondered if there are any foods that could help me, or any foods to avoid? Also, alcohol, is that an absolute no? Got to admit I have been having a few extra glasses on an evening, I am waiting on MRI results. Tia.
Just be extra good!
Seriously, though, our MS bodies are less tolerant of the stuff that is generally accepted as bad for us. My body can’t tolerate alcohol these days - a couple of pints of beer turns my bladder on like a tap. Too much sugar, trans-fats etc. can bung us up. Like anyone else but more so.
So stick to a healthy balanced diet involving plain, unprocessed food, plenty of fibre and manage your portion sizes. Nothing you won’t have heard elsewhere in a million diet & health books
I have a plant based diet, so no eggs or dairy or meat…I have an air fryer - so everything that can cook in it goes in there. I enjoy Birds eye green cuisine items lots of protein
Plenty of fruit muesli, bagels, plenty of soya products, fruit, vegetables.
Since being dairy free - no heartburn ir reflux, sleeping very well…
I like Prof Giovannoni’s advice and know that some others on here do too. Which is the best MS diet? - by Gavin Giovannoni
