Dentist

Hi, My mum has secondary progressive ms , and I’ve registered her with home dental care but they don’t offer much treatment. When I last took her to her regular dentist is was horrendous as the dentist wanted her to get out of her wheelchair which is impossible as she is hoisted into her wheelchair . Then I had to go in with her to have a X-ray of her teeth , whilst avoiding the rotating camera and holding her head ! It was awful , I can’t believe the way MS sufferers are treated especially as their condition worsens (sorry for the rant) We live East Yorkshire and I’m trying to find a dentist where they can accommodate people in a wheelchair and are unable to sit in the dentists chair . Many thanks Stacey

Have you tried asking your Mums MS Nurse if she knows of a Dentist who would be able to treat a wheelchair user?
