hi, i have been experiencing a cramp like pain at the top of my left foot and lower calf, my muscles feel tight but i have not had full blown cramp, this has been going on for a few days its been annoying but it has not been agony! today the pain has started in my left hand and is creeping up my arm and is really painful. i take gabapentin but it has no effect on this new symptom.
i would really like any thoughts or help with this.

Hi,
Ive been getting this for the last few months. It feels as though ive walked for miles when in fact i might have only taken a few steps!! I end up with a numb foot and really tight feeling calf. I started the opposite way round to you though, because ive had the same feeling in my left arm for the last 15 months. I dont take the same medication, im on Amitriptyline and tramadol. Unfortunately I havent found anything yet that relieves the feeling, it just seems to come and go of its own accord. I did wonder if it was just a progression of whatever I have ( im undiagnosed). Sorry ive no answers but sometimes its nice to just hear someone else understands your plight
Love Em xx
Hi Loraine
I wonder if it would be worth having a word with your ms nurse or gp
to see if baclofen would help. I take this for spasms and whilst it does
not take it away, it certainly takes the edge off it. It takes a little while
to get the dose right, as it can vary for everyone.
Hope this helps.

hi em and pam,
thanks for replying, it is so good to hear your ideas. i think i will go to see my gp, i dont have a ms nurse as i only have a tentative diagnosis. and it is good to hear that others feel the same pain and understands how we feel.

Hi, I am wondering if this is spasticity…it is when the muscles are tight and it is difficult to move your legs/arms.
I take baclofen for it. 30mg at night…it helps part of the time, but if I increase my dosage, it is likely to cause me other problems, as it has in the past.
luv Pollx
