Courtenay

Hi,

My husband has primary progressive MS , his right arm is pretty useless and he is now getting tremors in his left hand , which makes it really difficult to eat and drink without spilling and dropping his food. He uses large handled cutlery which helps to a degree.

Does anyone have this problem and solved it, I would be very grateful for any advice.

Hi,

I’m sorry that you haven’t had a reply for so long. I don’t have the difficulty that your husband does but I do know of kitchen and dining equipment that may help.

  • Sure grip mug which closes if tipped over
  • Mug with large handle with anti spill and spout lids
  • High sided wall plate to aid one handed eating
  • Plate surround that can be fitted to ordinary plates
  • Fork and knife combination

I expect that you’ll be able to find these on the Internet.

Best wishes,

Anthony

Thank you for you help Anthony will look on the internet
