conveen problems

keep getting day time leaks when i’m in wheelchair =wet clothes, no change of clothes until carers here…tried everything. any suggestions, sitting in wet clothes is very de-moralising - will revert back to not drinking to stem the flow - its only way i know to lessen impact

thanks in advance

david

Sorry, I can’t advise, but this will bump you up to the top again so hopefully someone who can help will see it.

Hi David

I assume you’re referring to the sheath & leg bag. Where is it that the leak is occuring? You could always try a small size sheath for a snugger fit. I had a problem where the sheath came off a few times, so I spoke to the company I order them from and they switched me to slightly different sheath and haven’t had any problems since. I need to make sure I keep the bag drained though, as a couple of times the bag has been filled to the brim and that can cause a spot of leaking.

Hope you find a fix for it.

Dan

A company called Manfred Sauer - design and manufacture all sorts of continence aids for men and women. They are designed by people who are wheelchair bound/ disabled. Google them - lf you decide to contact them by phone you will find them very helpful - and they will send ‘samples’. l have used them for about 18yrs. [for supra-pubic catheter].

Hope this has helped

Try different sizes. and shave down below so it sticks properly.

David, praps you could try eating a bit more toast than usual. In my over simplified brain it ‘sops up’ fluids in the system.I find that a couple of slices with just enough coffee to wash down a ciggie at brunch means I can play out for 3-4 hours without needing 2P

You might want to try any of these - they can be helpful

Hi I have started using Coloplast conveen sheaths for the last 4 weeks , the first 2 weeks everything was good then I took it off one morning and I was a bit sore . Stupidly I put another one on and the next morning I was very sore and swollen so I refrained from using them for a few days . Started wearing them again and a few days later same problem , any suggestions how to avoid this would be very welcome. I don’t want to stop using this product as apart from this problem they have been a life changer . Pete .
