Clinically Isolated Syndt

Hi,

Partner has recently been diagnosed with a clinically isolated syndrome. 4 lesions on the spine, no evidence of lesions on the brain.

So, MSsociety and other research papers suggest that a CIS without evidence of brain lesions decreases the chances of progression to clinically definite MS significantly. They quote only a 20% chance of progression…

I’m wondering though if this means even when there are spinal lesions? Is anyone able to clarify please?

Lesions are lesions. More common to have brain or brain + spine, but spine-only can still be MS.
