Hi guys, does a ‘busy brain’ make sense? Not physically busy but mentally? I am crusading to protect our greenbelt, it’s a beautiful field (agricultural, top quality) with those lovely golden rolls of hay that you see. They want to put posh huge useless houses on it, that ordinary folk can not afford Also, after a year I am still trying to get to try FampridineAfter 2 angry faces I hope you have a good weekend, love M
Hello M, I’ve noticed all the new housing around us-some of which has encroached onto green belt, is not for those who really need it. Not enough profit in social housing I suppose. My current quest is to sort out ESA, council tax discount, carer’s allowance and child tax credits. I’ve also got two stories going parallel inside my head. I can only write one at once! At least we’re able to keep busy in some way! Best wishes, Steve.
I call it buzzy brain… but same thing yes. As soon as I get really into something my brain starts working faster than the speed of light and it’s SOOO exhausting… can’t sleep when it’s like that. Terrible… it makes me sort of nervous-excited and restless and at the same time very tired. Good for you for protecting green belt M… esp as it’s not for affordable housing but for posh filtered word people!!! Have a great weekend… ps when I get like that I find it helps if I can make myself focus on something else… a quiet film (ie not an action film) or a book… if I can pull my focus onto something else it does, with a bit of luck, slow my buzzy brain down. Lots of love, Pat xx
I find that when I am trying to sleep, my brain goes into overdrive, so frustrating and exhausting, but if I try to concentrate on something else my brain keeps going back to the first thing.
Well done M we all need to fight for our green belt, I am sure by allowing so much building adds to the yearlt flooding problem.
Wet and cold here today, hope everyone has a good weekend.
Pam x
Hi, I am a victim
of severe busy brain I`m afraid.
I dont know how it doesnt simply burst at times! Glad it doesnt tho
.
When I am awake in the night, I give myself thinking games, like;
abc of places in England, USA, the world!
Years family members were born
Past cast members of soaps
Stuff like that…it passes a few hours!
luv Pollx
Hi M, Well done for trying to protect out precious country side…GOOD LUCK! I hate the busy…buzzy brain thing…I usually say my brain is in hyper gear…I’ve tried all sorts to stop it but all to no avail…it’s so draining, isn’t it? Have a good weekend everyone. Nina x
I had it really bad last night… didn’t sleep till after 4am. Do you think it’s an MS thing? Pat xx
Think it must be Pat…seems as though quite a few of us on here have the problem…can’t say I’ve ever heard a " normal" …elf free person mention it, Have you? Nina xx
I do know a few people my age and older… 60 plus… who say they get it, but I don’t think it’s activity related… well for me it definitely is. Yesterday early evening I spent a couple of hours working out how to transfer music from laptop (which is working again) to ipad. I felt that mental excitement starting… it’s like I’ve taken a drug… so stopped what I was doing and had a quiet evening. But it was no good. The ‘buzzy brain’ button had been switched on and I was awake till after 4am. It does actually feel like a physical thing, like a chemical has been released. I do sometimes wonder about MS and adrenalin… if there’s a connection. If maybe we produce more of it or respond badly to it. When I was much younger I used to have panic attacks and I’m sure they were caused by a rush of adrenalin. Your thoughts? Pat xx
My thoughts dear one… you managed to transfer music from your laptop to you ipad!!! No wonder your brain was in over drive, may I say its a no brainer? Try ‘mindfulness’, breathing exercises that concentrates the brain on your breaths in and out! Put the 21st Century stuff to one side, for managing to move data/music, watch out for caffenine in your tea/coffee. I’d take the high from the chocolatedarkened room and listen/feel your breathingM
Hello, when I was teaching, the amount of floor space I would cover (even at the very end) used to amaze me. It would involve going across the school hall and down a couple of corridors and the like. I would say that it was most definitely the adrenalin keeping me going. It also kept my busy/buzzy brain going at all times. Mind you, I paid for it at the weekends. Now in retirement it’s all sort of evened out. Sleep can still be a problem though; I sometimes have imaginary discussions about the finer points of the development of musical form and style over the last four hundred years. (Thank you Open University degree!) Best wishes, Steve.
