hI,
I wondered if anyone else get a burning sensation in their feet and hands. It is a really strong feeling and in my hands especially it also makes them itch. It happens at any time in my hands, but seems to be worse at night with my feet.

Hi I get this, mainly in my feet and I believe there are drugs that can help. Mine tends to go off when I lie down and is worse when I’m standing, so don’t do that much standing. Sorry you are having problems at night I use double base gel for itching (with hot water) and I’m sure your doctor can give you something for the burning pain.
Take care

Thanks for the email Wendy, I will have a word with my GP and see what she thinks

Morning, I too get this, also the cold feeling, it’s really awful, and like you mine is worse at night, I’ve just started on Pregabalin for this, after taking Gabepentin for many years, so far I’m on 100mg 3 x day, and to be honest it’s still there, worse again at the moment because the temperture has dropped, so I really feel for you, my Neuro told me it was nerve pain, so it may be worth looking into some meds, good luck, Jean x
Hi,
Me too and always worse at night. I take gabapentin too but in all honesty it hasn’t really helped likewise with leg pain which I get badly at night too. I hope that you get some help from your GP.
I wish you well
Tx

also amitryptiline is great for nerve pain and if taken 2 hours before bed it helps me sleep.
Hiya
Yup! This is one on my list of symptoms. Burning feet & hands. Oh and the hands go numb in bed. Tried a low dose of Pregabalin - which stopped the numbness but caused other side effects. Amitriptyline which again gave too many side effects. In the past have tried Sativex and LDN with varying degrees of success on pain. Currently just put up with it. I think I have a high pain threshold.
It always suck it and see with MS. Also if the side effects for you, out weigh any benefits.
Take care

I get burning feet in the morning - I always wake up with it, and it often makes them spasm. The best thing for fixing it is just to stick them under the cold shower, but usually I’m feeling too groggy first thing in the morning to get up and do that. The next best thing though is to rub Deep Freeze gel on them. It’s by the same people who make Deep Heat cream, but obviously does the opposite. It doesn’t totally fix it, but it can help take the edge off. I sometimes use after-sun lotion too, but that’s pretty pricey. You can get Deep Freeze from the supermarket or chemist.
Hope you find some relief somehow.
Dan
Hi,
