My last ferret - lived to 14yrs. William. He became a real old gent… we thought he would go on for ever. Lots of ferrets came and went in that time. Bodger,Badger, Jack, Tansy,Buddy,Snowy and Uncle Tom Cobley and all.
l learnt the first 4 lines … years ago. So was thrilled when l saw the complete poem in print.

Emojies apart, what the invasion will need, once we’re settled in a convenient pub/distillery, is Art. The Great Golden Age of MS Art.
We’ll have an Arts Festival. It’ll be bigger than Llangollen, Glastonbury and the Oktoberfest put together.
There’ll be live demonstrations of ferret rustling, sock darning and a Guess the weight of the Butterfly thingy.
And that’s just for starters. As soon as the rest of you get your creative juices pumping who knows what we’ll come up with.

Ooh, Charlie Horse = spasm. Who knew? Why did we need to? Isn’t spasm a good enough word? Or is it something that Americans need to make their own? And why would anyone want to make, or watch, an emoji film? I won’t be watching it. I can barely bring myself to watch a film film. And I refuse to call them movies.
Curmudgeonly? Ooh I hope so, it’s been my lifelong dream. I’ve aspired to it, but never thought I could reach that longed for accolade.

Well, I’m back. Actually, we came back on Friday night. (It’s taken me this long to read the backlog.) We weren’t supposed to be back until Sunday night but Hubby saw how weak and unsteady I was on Friday and insisted that we cut the holiday short. It turns out that it was a good thing that we did. I had difficulty moving around the house on Saturday! It means that we’re going to have to change what we do on holiday. An active day has to be followed by at least one “lazy” day. Two consecutive active days are OK if it’s just a weekend away. Then I can have lazy days during the week. When we’re on holiday I’ll have to pace myself more than I have been doing. It’s not something I want to do. I’ve always regarded holidays as a time to go somewhere new and/or see or do new things. I’ve never liked spending time doing nothing on holiday. Now it seems I have to. Hubby has told me not to do anything active for a week to make sure I recover fully.
Today’s brain fog: I was pouring myself a cup of tea. I had the open milk bottle standing ready. I reached for the kettle and just managed to stop myself pouring milk into it. (Hubby poured milk into the teapot while we were on holiday. I have MS. He has senior moments.)
