Monte’s not been very photogenic just lately. He’s spending a lot of time snoozing under a bush or behind the garden shed. And when he’s in, it tends to be cos it’s raining, so he’s a miserable cat then. He pops up every time there’s a newcomer to the house, just so he can vet them and make sure they have the right permission to be allowed into his domain.
So ducks and geese have taken control. He’ll surely take back his rightful place soon.

Someone recently described his colour as being ‘butterscotch’. A bit arsy one feels. Officially he is ‘cream’. Unofficially, at the most, ‘strawberry blond’!

Who would win in a fight between Monte and the Fez? Monte has weight and size on his side. But Fez probably has sharper teeth and is younger, and no doubt more of a difficult customer to pin down!!
Although actually Monte is quite a friendly little chap. I think he has an ongoing turf war with the cat across the road, but I doubt he’s actually had a fight for a good long time. Then again he’s never met a ferret!
