Has anyone had botox injections for spaciticity before? It has been recommended that I have it done in the muscles on the backs of my thighs as I have really bad stiffness that affects my walking. I would love to hear of anyone elses experiences, did it work? did it leave your legs feeling weak? etc

Hi, if it has been advised, I wouldnt expect you have to pay for it. A friend of mine used to have it…for about 5 years or so, every 3 months. It did help but now she has a baclofen pump instead, which helps her more.

Thanks for your replies. It will be on the NHS so won’t be paying for it. I’m just getting desperate for something that’s going to work. Baclofen tablets made my legs too weak, tizanidine made me too dowsy & spaced out and I’m onto the my first week of trying Gabapentin but my legs are as stiff as ever. Fingers crossed the botox works for me!
Yesss botox help! I just had botox injected in my right calf for stiffness a month ago. I noticed a difference about a week after the botox:)
