botox for spasticity

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had experienced or knew of anybody who had had botox for leg spasticity please?

Hi

Yes. Referred by physio to have botox injections into specific spastic muscles in left leg. Take a few days to begin to work but help ‘relax’ spastic muscles for up to 3/12,making moving,walking, dressing much easier.

I know a young lady with cerebral palsy who has Botox for spasticity in her legs. She says the injections are painful, but worth the benefits.

Hi.

i have Botox in my left arm for tremor and spasticity at hospital in London.

it doesn’t rid me of the problem and my arm is still unusable, but it does take the edge off.

i was referred to the Neurophysioligy department by a professor in movement disorders.
