Personally I think it all depends on what you are looking for from the product, ie, relief from pain, spasms, cramps ect, OR looking for improved mobility.
From my experience, which was looking for improved mobility, both CBD oil and Sativex were a waste of time and money (CBD oil) .
Having said that, I can imagine that any cannabis based product might help with pain/spasms ect.
I know someone who had advanced prostate cancer and was using cannabis paste in suppository form for the pain, he absolutely swore it helped with pain.
He never suffered the side effects of the cannabis as apparently if you take cannabis in suppository form you’re not digesting it and therefor theres none of the nasty side effects and it gets absorbed better due to the number of fine nerve endings down below.
This guy would buy the cannabis in its raw form, mix it with olive oil to make a paste then put the paste in empty suppository capsules which he purchased from Amazon.
His wife told me he had joined some sort of alternative medicine forum that had many people with MS on there who also used cannabis in this way to help with pain/spasms ect.
Apparently though its not any old cannabis that you need, there are many many strains and you need the correct one for each type of illness ect.
There was a documentary on TV a while ago about medicinal cannabis, it touched on Sativex for MS and it explained that the manufacturers only use certain strains of cannabis for Sativex, as their research showed that apparently it was only some strains of cannabis that showed favourable results in treating MS.
Ultimately I guess what works for one person may not work for another.
MS is an illness that clearly show’s we are all so very different when it comes to what helps and what doesnt.
Good point jactac, it’s a mine field finding the right 1, I’ve asked for sativex, but at the moment in Yorkshire we can’t get it, apprently talks were going to take place for us in Yorkshire to get it, well my nurse told me that’s been put on hold
