A huge number of people with MS have to endure bladder problems. I am with you on that one. My first problem occurred in 1972 and neither MS or problem crossed my mind. The problems have remained with me on and off since then. In about 2000 my RRMS evolved into SPMS and the situation started to get more severe.

Talking about bladder problems is almost a taboo subject. On this forum you can see posts about sex and relationships but not about bladder. People, especially men, will deny they have a problem. Going for a waz/slash/pee is something that is taken for granted until it goes wrong.

We are not averse to talking about our wee problems here. There`s usually a new post most weeks, asking for advice or info on meds. to help pesky bladders.
My own speciality is supra pubic catheters. Several of our members have personal experience of these gadgets!
Like Poll I have a Supra Pubic Catheter. This was fitted 12 weeks ago and I’ve chatted to many people on here about it, both during the build up to it and what was happening to me before the op and more recently what has happened since the op. I have also posted to put peoples minds at rest letting them know that I had the procedure done by local anaesthetic and all went well.
Poll especially has been wonderful in giving her invaluable advice on both the procedure and aftercare.
We’re a sassy lot and talking about bladder probs is very easy for us. Some of us have known each other for some 15 years or even more. We’re all mates.
