Hi all, newbie here. I just wanted to ask a little bit of advice, I dont want to keep asking Dr google and would like to find out some more information regarding first symptoms of MS. I have always suffered from headaches and migraines, however a few weeks ago I started with one of the worst headaches I’ve ever had, it caused me to go to bed and when I woke up the next day it was still there, two weeks on and a doctors visit later,I still have the cluster headache, I’m getting about 1-2 attacks a day that are absolutely debilitating, even a trip to the chiros didn’t help. They come and go but there is a constant dull ache in my head. My gp gave me some triptan and because I told him I have also been auffering restless leg on a night with twitching and a fizzy feeling in my feet and legs, he referred me for a scan, which I am now waiting for. A few months ago my colleague noticed I kept walking into things, the corner of a table, a chair leg, a wall…but i never thought anything of it. My husband has also noticed how my coordination can be very useless and I often walk into his legs when he’s sat down on the sofa. Other symptoms that are currently driving me crazy are tingling in both my feet…its constant. As well as depression and anxiety I feel like I am being the world’s biggest hypochondriac because there seems go be something g every day when I wake up. I’ve never been like this, I’ve always had the immune system of a rhino but lately during lockdown I’ve found myself with all these random symptoms as well as being completely exhausted without doing anything productive through the day! My husband and friends have just told me its more than likely anxiety and the fact my antidepressants can cause RLS alongwith headaches but I’ve been on this ADs for at least 4 months, I am trying to not worry but its difficult to manage work stress along with feeling absolutely useless around the house during a time that I need fo be on my a game with a four year old that needs homeachooling and running my own business. Does anyone have any information on their first symptoms, does this sound MS related (I know it could be something so minor) I am currently awaiting my scan but the gp said it could be a few weeks until I get an appointment due to the current situation we are all in but I dont think i can bear to deal with the headaches and RLS for much longer. Im getting about 4 hours sleep a night due to my legs constantly twitching and the urge to move them. Thank you so much in advance for your time and replies Shieldmaiden
Hi there.
You do have a lot going on which would tire most folk…business…young child/home schooling and poor sleep wont help.
With the RLS, have you tried drinking tonic water The quinine may help.
Best thing is to wait for the scan and see what the results are. Try not to dwell too much, on the MS factor.
