Eeee, I was about to do this new post, when I saw Shazzie had put out a call for hugs and support for me…luvya Shaz!
Anyroad, yesterday my chuffin` spc by passed and I was soaked through. had to strip off and shower again. Hubby was good and helped out, but it took and age and it was early to bed for me…2pm!
I`ve decided to go back on the oxybutynin tablets and see if they help. I also get horrendous bladder spasms when going for a no 2…not every time, but quite a lot. I also sometimes wee into the loo.
Luckily every time this wetting has happened, I`ve been at home. It would be unthinkable if I was out at the time.
Ahhh Poll luvya too!! I am so pleased you saw all the lovely messages for you. Really lovely. Hope it cheered you up a bit. Afterall you cheer all of us up when we need it.
Chuffin ell!! Sounds like you are having problems again with your spc. What a blimmin nightmare.
Hope the tabs help Poll and make sure you rest up.
Oh dear, you have been going through it, I do hope the tablets help. Would it be any good having a word with your gp to see what they suggest, sorry if you have already done this.
Dont know what advice to offer, but sending you ((((((hugs)))))) take care Poll, let us know how you get on.
For what it’s worth, I think you’re doing the right thing, Poll. You had a “med” holiday to see if they were really doing anything, and it seems they might have been, after all. I don’t think it does any harm - with medical supervision - to do an experiment now and then, to check if your meds are still helping. It is possible to get stuck on things for years without noticing they’ve stopped working.
But if things went downhill when you stopped, going back is the sensible thing.
Oxybutinin is one of the old meds for bladder control - there are several newer ones without the side-effects. Betmiga is one - might be worth asking your GP for an update.
