Prepping for the heat wave. I love the sun, but don’t plan on being a lobster.
I went a barbecue the other day & was reminded, how bad the heat is for MS.
The half witts, had great fun at my expense, seeing me fall time & time again. Clapping & chanting, come on, you can do it.
Unable to even stand, when the heat saps our last bit of strength & left to bake, like a jacket spud.
Now I’ll be cool, in the shade & hose myself down, when it gets too hot. I even have a bucket, to soak my feet in & off to the hairdressers for a buzz cut today.
Terry some people have no manners or humanity. How sad their upbringing must have been to think that behavior is acceptable, and not to feel remorse for their actions. I’m a firm believer in “What you give out, you’ll get back”. Thank goodness there are more good people around, you obviously just picked a bad time to go out.
Hello Terry , I really sympathise with you , I’m so glad weve had cooler weather this week, the hot weather always makes me feel poorly. Take care, enjoy doing the fun things like you always do . Michelle and Frazer xx
Once more you are pushing at the limits. I used to do it with climbing Snowdon, cycling, swimming, walking and playing the piano/cello. All that practice. And it has given me damned good memories with a sense of satisfaction. I still say while I can, I will but beware of tomorrow’s revenge.
Hi Steve, tomorrows revenge has kicked me in the butt, a few times.
Nothing is simple now. To get heavy things from A to B, I have a set of trolleys. People ask why everything is on wheels & when I show why, they understand the method in my madness. There’s grab bars everywhere too. The joys of living alone. Showering in a chair & cooking batches of meals.
Hot & cold fans, Electric blankets & crash matts all over the place.
We have to prep for the inevitable tough times.
Trusting in the care system, isn’t going to happen. I’ve been stung to many times.
My bank withdrawal has limits & the passwords have passwords.
Just a hand full of people on my trust list. It’s very sad, but needed. Even my will has been put in order.
We have to keep doing what we can, for our sanity.
You take it easy Steve. I know you’re having tough times, but you’ll be okay.
