Best of luck Jaycie! All I have done so far in claiming my PIP was speak to a witch on the 'phone when I was starting to be newly assessed. I am so knotted up! I was called by the same witch a few days later and she actually asked why/how I was “receiving money from abroad”. I mean, where does she get all of this guff from? Atos & Capita have already proven themselves to be a right bunch of mouth breathing retards anyway, so how can we trust them? Best of luck with your claim. Moira
My brown letter never dropped on the mat until nearly 3 months after my f to f however I did have a phone call from the assessor to say that she would be back dating my claim to the date of my phon call, I ended up with higher rate for both and I picked my fix first ever mobility car up yesterday a beautiful qashqai that I’m paranoid over marking it.
I had my home assessment for PIP on 11th September and have just received the letter saying I have been awarded Enhanced mobility and standard rate for care.
I am happy with the outcome although a little disappointed that it is only for 2 years so will be doing it all again in just over a year.
Good news on the Mobility. One point short for Enhanced Care!!! How annoying. And having to do it all again in a year! Grrrr.
I suggest you keep every letter you get between now and then. Plus, if you figure out exactly where you can get another point from and get evidence supporting everything that you have points for now, plus maybe a bit more, you should be able to do it without a face to face.
Can’t believe it took 4 months from having the assessment to get the decision. Did the assessor forget to submit their report or something ? My form was returned by 22nd October and I got the decision letter a month later.
Yes it did take a long time, but l have been on high rate of both with DLA for several years so it didn’t really matter how long it took for the decision as I will be worse off now, but never mind.
